It feels like it has been winter forever. I am sick and tired of being cold, getting blown away by wind every time we step out the door, and seeing snow. I'm anxious to ride the bike more, but it's hard w/this weather, and I don't have cold weather gear--just my winter coat. I did make it out for a few minutes last week, just to get gas and run by the grocery store. It was a bit chilly, but I bundled up. I used Jason's tridana, which worked really well, and think I need one for myself! I also got to try out my new riding glasses Jason bought me, and they ROCK! Not one bit of wind got through. I am looking forward to riding in the hot summer sun!!!
We had a really lazy weekend. Jason worked in Laramie Saturday, and was home by 1. I was in my pjs until then! We went out later and found 5 geocaches, then had a yummy dinner at Chili's. Sometimes Chili's isn't all that great, but I'd been seeing the commercial for those mini burgers and wanted to try them. We got some, and they were good, but it was really just one burger cut into 4 pieces! Jason and I got a lot of Toontown in this weekend. I am so addicted to that darn game! Yesterday we just sat around until 5, them went out to Lowe's, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and the grocery store. We stayed up until 12, watching TIVO and playing Toontown. It was hard to get up this morning. I felt so snuggled in!
I am currently waiting on the washer repair guy. When he was here last week, he said there was a problem w/the gear box, because the washer was going into a spin before the pump out (?), so the water was being sloshed over the side when it was on the highest capacity. The guy ordered a new part, which came on Friday, and I had to call back to get another appt. for it to be put in. The time frame is 8-12, and of course, he can't come on the earlier side. Last week it was 12 when he got here! I hate sitting around waiting. I have been able to use the washer, but was just supposed to use a medium water level.
Peyton's new baseball coach called last night. He is now on the Cubs! Jason is thrilled, as is Peyton. We had requested him to be moved off the Dodgers, because we wanted him to be on the team linked to his school. I don't think the Cubs are from his school though. Our biggest issue w/the Dodgers was having to drive way the heck out south for practices. It's a 20 mi. round trip drive, and that's just too far to go twice a week. There is a meeting tomorrow night to figure out what the best times are everyone to practice, and we are just crossing our fingers practice is somewhere close! Still haven't heard from Brecken's coach. He's rookie league, and at that age, their teams aren't named after actual teams. We are definitely going to feel like we are living at the fields! I guess we should be thankful that baseball is the only thing they are into at the moment!
This week the boys have their reading medal ceremony at the highschool theater. They get to go on stage and get medals for completing the reading program, and they have treats afterwards. As far as I know we have nothing else going on this week. I'm not sure if Jason has to work this weekend. They are planning all these trips to get new servers in around the state.
